Learn how to say NO

We love our clients.

BUT...

Yes, they pay for our housing, food, bills...

Therefore we don’t want to lose them.

But sometimes they have unrealistic demands and in our eagerness to please them, we’re sometimes unable to say NO to their needs. 😔

One of the most typical examples is when the client wants everything ASAP. You know, kind of “Yesterday was already late.” And you say YES to this need too.

You end up saying YES so much that you’re at the point where you don't even see a way out. 🤷‍♂️

You might be making good money on those projects, but you don't have any time to spend it.

You might even be buying products that you don’t have time to use.

Or maybe another problem arises: Your focus is divided between dozens of different projects, and you realize that none of them can be delivered with 100% quality. 😓

You have two options:
1️⃣ You are going to burn out (or go crazy) from the work overload. 🤪
2️⃣ You learn how to say NO. 🚫

Actually, you have only one option:

Learn how to say NO.

There is no punishment in that. Trust me. Once you learn how to say NO to your clients, you’ll see the benefits for yourself. 💼

Wait, but I can’t say NO because… Yes, I've heard it all. The usual fears are:

If I say NO, I'm going to lose that client.
If I say NO to the budget my client has (and I should get paid more), I'm going to lose that client.
If I say NO to the client who wants it tomorrow, I'm going to lose that client.
😱🤯

Let’s be clear about one thing: You're going to lose your client 100% if you become unable to deliver your work on time and with the quality your client is used to.

And sometimes that means saying NO.

This NO is very important for you: You are showing them a realistic view of the task. Some tasks can't be done overnight and, yes, some will require a bigger budget.

The power of saying NO is for your protection. It protects your time, energy, and money.

And as a side effect, it also protects your clients! 🛡️

And guess what! In 9 out of 10 cases when my clients asked me to deliver something the very next day, and I said NO, there was actually no problem. The vast majority of those tasks could wait a couple of days and sometimes even weeks! ⏳

Let me know your thoughts 🙏
